TUD | Campus Lusatia

Structural change in Lusatia is not just about compensating for the loss of an industry. In addition to the coal phase-out, there are other challenges that must be taken into account at the same time: demographic change, the climate crisis, the scarcity of natural resources and the worsening shortage of skilled workers.

The Dresden University of Technology (TU Dresden) is therefore striving to play an active role in shaping structural change in cooperation with partners from business, society and politics. The goal is to promote ecologically and economically sustainable development and to further increase the attractiveness of the Free State of Saxony.

In order to transform Lusatia into a modern and sustainable region of the 21st century, the opportunities offered by digitization and technological advances must be exploited. For this, the establishment and implementation of suitable structures and projects are crucial. TU Dresden is striving to achieve this by expanding the TUD | Campus Lusatia.

A detailed overview of central projects within the framework of the TUD | Campus Lusatia can be found in the digital brochure “Den Strukturwandel gestalten. TUD | Campus Lausitz”. This brochure clearly presents the various projects and can be accessed via the following link: “Den Strukturwandel gestalten. TUD | Campus Lausitz”
