MITMACHLabor

A joint project of: Dresden University of Technology, FSD Fahrzeugsystemdaten GmbH & City of Hoyerswerda

MITMACHLabor

What’s behind it?

In the center of the new town of Hoyerswerda, more precisely in the former restaurant Wassermann on Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Straße, a City Co-Creation Lab is being built under the name MITMACHLabor. Here, research, business and society are to be networked. Interested parties can find out about the research projects in and around Hoyerswerda, such as the Smart Mobility Lab. In addition, everyone can take part in workshops, discussion groups and lectures on scientific and social topics, register as test subjects for scientific studies or participate directly in research as part of a so-called citizen science project. A special focus is on cooperation with schools and educational institutions in Hoyerswerda to get students excited about science and research and to show them opportunities to find work in the region after studying or training.

The MITMACHLab is being set up as part of the research project “Safety of Connected and Automated Road Traffic” (SivaS), in which the behavior of road users is being evaluated on several roads and intersections in Hoyerswerda in order to gain insights for automated driving functions. This project will also see the creation of the SivaS Institute at the Smart Mobility Lab in Schwarzkollm, which will develop technical standards for the approval of automated and connected vehicles in the future.
