Deutschlandfunk brought its well-known program “Zur Diskussion” to Hoyerswerda for a live broadcast — on the very same Monday that Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier was also in town. Around 100 guests accepted the invitation from Deutschlandradio and experienced an afternoon where national political perspectives and regional questions were closely interlinked.
The event opened with an interview with the Federal President, conducted by Sina Fröhndrich. Immediately afterward, a panel featuring Prof. Raj Kollmorgen, Marko Schiemann, Mayor Torsten Ruban-Zeh and Cindy Paulick (RAA) explored what it takes to make transformation in Lusatia a success. The program demonstrated how essential dialogue and diverse viewpoints are for navigating change.
